Viewability

Whether a served ad was actually seen by the user.

What is Viewability?

Viewability measures the share of served impressions that were genuinely in view long enough to be seen, not just delivered.

It matters because advertisers increasingly pay for viewable impressions rather than mere delivery.

Viewability in context

To understand Viewability fully, it helps to know the concepts around it. Ad Impression, a single instance of an ad being served to a user. Click-Through Rate (CTR), the ratio of clicks to impressions for an ad. CPM, cost per mille — the price an advertiser pays per 1,000 impressions.

Together these describe how ad metrics works in practice for an AI app, and where Viewability fits among them.
